Glaciers Score Late to Beat Cyclones, 4-3
|
The Denver Glaciers had to overcome a fine effort from Miami pitcher Jeremy Fitch to win, 4-3, at Mountain Dew Park. Fitch went 6 innings and allowed no runs. James L'Hommedieu picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Chris Herdegen suffered the loss. After today's action, Denver sits at 65-51, while Miami falls to 46-70.
Nate Tinsley was the walk-off hero for Denver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Glaciers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Tinsley said, postgame.
