Lawson Leads Twins to Win
The Cincinnati Twins had no problem beating the Philadelphia Spectres, 11-3, at Cincinnati Grounds. Matt Lawson, who is on pace for 109 RBI this season, led the onslaught. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Cincinnati. Cincinnati starter David Prentice was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 8.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Cincinnati is now 57-60, Philadelphia 53-64.

With Cincinnati trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the first, Lawson hit a fastball from Jeong Lee for a 3-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 4-2.

"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Twins manager Ryan Stoops.
