Du Kau made an impact in the 5-4 Portland win over Boston. Kau, who is tied for 9th in the WC in stolen bases with 25, went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Portland reliever Young-pil Park picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Dave Gaytan took the loss. The 4th-place Dragons now have a win-loss record of 55-61.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Portland designated hitter Brick Dickerson, facing Dave Gaytan, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dragons the 5-4 win.

"Winning is the only objective," said Kau after the game.
