Keener goes 4-for-5, Leads Titans to Win
The New York Titans outclassed the Portland (E) Lobster, 9-1, at Polo Grounds II. Jimmy Keener, who is tied for 4th in the EC with a .315 batting average, was a major contributor for New York. Keener was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. New York pitcher Pavel Orta earned the win, hiking his record to 15-6. Irakly Alvarez suffered the loss. The Titans sit in first place in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division with a record of 84-31.

Kamakana Aniani, who finished 2nd in the EC in stolen bases with 59 last year, helped out the New York cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a walk.

"That's what I love about baseball," said Aniani. "No matter how good or how bad you did, you get to wake up the next day and start all over."
