Avispas Beaten, 4-2, by Glaciers
|
The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Mountain Dew Park, topping the Santiago Avispas, 4-2. On the mound for Denver was left-hander Su-shun Nie. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jeremy Lanham, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save. Denver is now 74-41.
Pete Delzeit drew 1 walk for Denver. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Vaisel Ajete. It was his 40th RBI of the season.
"Su-shun was really locked in," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
