Cyclones Trounce Glaciers, 11-2
|
Miami took on Denver in front of a lively crowd.
The Miami Cyclones pasted the Denver Glaciers with a convincing 11-2 defeat at Mountain Dew Park. Omar Monge was a prime factor in the Miami win. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3. The Cyclones raised their record to 46-69.
Miami used a clutch at-bat from Nelson Aragon to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"A great game, a great day," said Aragon about the win. "I can't complain."
