In a low-scoring affair between the Minneapolis Vikings and the Miami Cyclones, pitcher Jose Miera was the difference between victory and defeat. The Minneapolis left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Vikings win. The third-place Vikings go to 47-68.

Minneapolis got a clutch hit from Norlis Gonzalez. The center fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Gonzalez.
