Arrows Best Avispas in Pitching Duel
Roberto Davila could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Santiago Avispas lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Seattle Arrows at Power Ballpark. Seattle has a record of 57-59, placing them 4th in the Western Conference John Sexton Division.

The Avispas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Arrows going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old designated hitter Dave Rivera came to the plate. Rivera hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 changeup from Santiago hurler Roberto Davila. It was Rivera's 18th home run of the year.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Santiago skipper Jacob Pauly, "and it cost us."
