Houston starter Ricky Zika put a stranglehold on the Minneapolis offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Aquas to a 5-1 win. The setback makes Minneapolis 70-45.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Zika was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Minneapolis trailing 3-1, Zika retired Ivan Ramirez, who struck out.
