Wolves Get Better of Arrows, 6-3
The Wolves grabbed a win, 6-3, at Power Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Ricky Zika. Zika went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Kelly Lazell, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-9. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Javier Piloto earned the save for Vancouver, his 22nd of the year.

Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Spencer Goldsmith to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wolves ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We're rolling right now," said Goldsmith. "We're playing good baseball."

The Wolves, at 50-65, have now won 5 straight.
