Minty Goes Deep Twice in 7-0 Twins Win
The Cincinnati Twins beat the Portland (E) Lobster at Cincinnati Grounds. The final score was 7-0 in favor of Cincinnati. Tanner Minty led the way, going 3-for-4 for the home team. Dainer Madera got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Lobster to no runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The last-place Twins are 50-64.

Cincinnati took a 5-0 lead on Minty's 13th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Ernesto Alvarez in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Cincinnati to the win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Minty told the Cincinnati Daily News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
