Angels Keep Streak Alive With 5-2 Win
Jesus Pena left his imprint on the 5-2 San Antonio win against the Denver Glaciers. Pena went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Slider Brooks picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 10. On the season, he is now 6-0. Bobby de Jager finished to wrap up his 6th save.

Sam Johnson had a big solo home run for the Angels in the top of the fourth inning. With San Antonio leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Hatsuhiko Saruwatari, who is tied for 8th in the WC in strikeouts with 150, and swatted a home run to left. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 4-2.

"We are some kind of hot right now," said Pena.
