The Miami Cyclones faced a tough opponent in Alaska pitcher Rick Stockley, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Tundradome by a final score of 6-2. Stockley went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Addy van Oostende notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. Now 63-52, Alaska has lost 10 in a row.

Miami used a timely hit from Jason Diaz to get the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
