Glaciers Stick Greens with 7-4 Loss
|
Pete Delzeit had a 3-RBI game, during Denver's 7-4 triumph over the Boston Greens. Delzeit contributed 1 single, 1 double, and 1 walk to his team's cause. Su-shun Nie, the winning pitcher, is now 12-4. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 3. Jeremy Lanham got the save, the 6th for him this season.
Brian Wooten drove in one run for Denver. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Vismay Falcon. It was his 70th RBI of the season.
"Good win for us," said Delzeit. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
After today's action, Denver sits at 69-45, while Boston falls to 63-50.
