Washington Squanders Great Game by Kym
|
The Havana Metropolitanos overcame a pretty good performance by Washington first baseman Sung-hyo Kym, beating the Senators, 6-5, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Kym hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Havana pitcher Andino D'Elia got the win, upping his record to 9-2. Zenjiro Koga got the loss. The Senators, now 40-73, have lost 4 in a row.
Havana took a 6-5 lead on Mario Murillo's 23rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Murillo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Washington pitcher Zenjiro Koga visibly frustrated.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Murillo told the Havana Times.
