Due in large part to right fielder Geri Rengifo, the New York Titans sunk the Buffalo Rangers, 6-3. Rengifo went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Ryan Robinson, now 3-2, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The Titans win now puts them at 82-31.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Steve Czerw came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Buffalo pitcher Abel Downey, he hit a 1-1 changeup for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 4-2.
