Big Day for Muranaka in 8-5 Dragons Win
A good performance from shortstop Ginjiro Muranaka helped the Portland Dragons defeat the Miami Cyclones, 8-5. Muranaka was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Dragons. Willie Bravo was called on to finish, recording his 19th save. The first-place Dragons sport a record of 72-42.

Portland used the bat of Alex Jaurequi to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dragons ahead, 7-5. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

Jaurequi said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
