Boston Wastes Great Game by Torroais
|
The Seattle Arrows withstood a fine game by Boston third baseman Sando Torroais at Arrington Park, to upend the Greens, 6-5. Torroais went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Earning his 9th save for Seattle was Mike Hill. The last-place Arrows improved to 53-60.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Dave Rivera to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Arrows on top, 6-3. For the game, Rivera had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Good win for us," said Rivera. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
