Gonzales Lifts Destroyers to 7-5 Triumph
The San Diego Destroyers downed the Miami Cyclones, 7-5. The hitting star was right fielder Jose Gonzales. Gonzales was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Destroyers. Joe Drum notched his 3rd save of the season. The Destroyers have an impressive 23-13 record.

Gonzales had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch cutter from Ivan Fernandez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Destroyers a 7-4 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Gonzales.

"Jose showed up tonight," said San Diego manager Steve Alstadt.
