In a low-scoring game between the Miami Cyclones and the Portland Dragons, pitcher Billy Lorsung was the difference-maker. The Miami left-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Cyclones win. Miami now sits at 44-68, while Portland falls to 60-52.

Had Steve Tidwell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Tidwell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Cyclones.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Cyclones manager Chris Stephan.
