Houston 68-44 After Beating Athletics

Alex Laso, who finished 5th in the EC in wins with 15 in 2081, pitched well, but the Kansas City Athletics still fell short, losing, 4-1, to the Houston Aquas at Ballpark of Missouri. The winner in relief was Yasuhiro Katayama. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-4. Houston is now 68-44, Kansas City 64-48.
The Aquas got a big at-bat from second baseman Pusher Juarez. For the game, Juarez went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Juarez told the Houston Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
