Portland got a decent performance from pitcher Wil Campos, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Antonio Angels. San Antonio won the Tesoro Stadium contest, 5-4. Campos threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. San Antonio pitcher Manny Larios got the win. He's now 1-0. Tyler Walsh was tagged with the loss. The Angels have now reeled off 6 straight wins.

San Antonio got a clutch hit from Jesus Pena. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Pena told the San Antonio Chronicle.
