Riding the 3-hit performance of the two-time Gold Glove Award winner Antonio Fiss, the Los Angeles Stars stopped the Vancouver Wolves, 7-1. Heath Wood, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Vancouver has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Robersy Larosa to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
