Phantoms Pick Up 6-4 Win Against Denver
|
The Chicago Phantoms picked up a win at Foster Field, downing the Denver Glaciers, 6-4. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Ingo Jentzsch, who played a pivotal role in the win. Bobby Sanchez snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. Jelmar Voskuil picked up his 1st save of the season.
Chicago took the lead, 5-4, on Nala Forcelledo's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Denver pitcher Victor Garza in the bottom of the seventh.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Forcelledo told the Chicago Chronicle.
The Phantoms, at 57-53, sit in 4th place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.
