Phoenix Thunderbirds starter Arturo Noboa was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Vancouver Wolves, 2-0. With the victory, the Thunderbirds upped their record to 64-46.
The Thunderbirds got a big at-bat from left fielder Billy Morf. For the game, Morf went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave Phoenix a 2-0 lead.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Morf said in postgame remarks.
