Lobster Eschmann Fires No-Hitter
Portland (E) is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Beau Eschmann.

The 22-year-old hurler was dominating against the Cincinnati Twins, leading the Lobster to a 1-0 win at Ballpark of Portland.

"I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game."

Eschmann had 11 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk en route to the no-hitter.

"Yeah, this was a special day for me," Eschmann said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today."

Eschmann has made 23 starts so far this year and put up a 6-10 won-lost record with a 4.92 ERA. In 128 innings he has allowed 116 hits, walked 38 and struck out 129.
