Fidel Flores, who finished 2nd in the EC in saves with 28 in 2078, never let the Friars get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Vikings to a win, 3-1. The Western Conference Mike Stump Division-leading Vikings are 68-43.

Bible Mahoney helped out the Minneapolis cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the left fielder was 2-2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times.
