Senators Lose to Lobster, 4-1
|
Jesse Collins brought his A-game to help Maine defeat the Washington Senators, 4-1. With the win, Maine raised its record to 56-54.
Maine shortstop Willie Monjes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Lobster ahead, 3-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Monjes.
