Slumping Spectres Lose Again
|
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Carlos Guadamuz, the New York Titans defeated the Philadelphia Spectres, 8-5. Guadamuz was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Titans. At 79-30, the Titans claim first place in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division.
With New York leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Guadamuz hit a sinker from Uno Urquidez for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Titans ahead, 4-1.
"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff. "It's just not paying off."
