|
The Philadelphia Spectres overcame a fine performance by Cincinnati third baseman Jessie McMenemy to defeat the Twins, 8-5, at Sony Field at Philadelphia. McMenemy hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Philadelphia reliever Fidel Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Kristian Kupkat took the loss. The win for the Spectres raised their record to 54-54.
Alderaan Pike was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Spectres third baseman hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
