Phoenix Loses Again
San Francisco and Phoenix got after it at Legednary Park.

The San Francisco Friars picked up a win at Legednary Park, taking down the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 8-1. Starting pitcher Alex Mijangos was a big reason why. Mijangos got the win, improving to 12-6. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.

San Francisco got a big at-bat from Havana, Cuba native Yendri Stewart, who in the top of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Friars ahead, 5-0.

"This game will humble you real quick," said Phoenix manager Joe Busch.

The Friars now have a mark of 66-45.
