Friars Pull Out Late Win, 3-2
The Denver Glaciers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Taxi Sabala into a win. Instead, the San Francisco Friars prevailed, 3-2. Sabala threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The win belonged to Jon Dehmer in relief. His record improves to 1-3. James L'Hommedieu took the loss for Denver. The first-place Friars lifted their record to 69-40.

Edilse Gavilan was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Friars shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Do what you're good at," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan. "That's all I ask of the team."
