Prent Now 7-5 After Beating Arrows
|
In a tight affair between the Las Vegas Aces and the Seattle Arrows, pitcher Pierre Prent was in the zone. The Las Vegas left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. Getting the save was Jason Mouland, his 24th. The third-place Aces go to 59-49.
It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Prent, who tallied 9 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing just 1 hit. Prent, who is tied for 2nd in the WC with a 0.90 WHIP, goes to 7-5 on the year with 151 strikeouts.
"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Seattle manager Dr. Jay Siber. "That's not going to work out."
