Explorers Lowe Stops Sky Warriors
Brian Lowe was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Milwaukee Explorers hurler tossed a 5-hit, complete game shutout against the Madison Sky Warriors.

"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Lowe. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."

Lowe walked 3 and struck out 7 in the 4-0 victory.

His record this season is 4-1 in 7 starts and Lowe has a 1.67 ERA.
