Algeo Gets 5 Hits
|
It was almost a perfect day for John Algeo.
The Victoria right fielder displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Seals lost to the Glendale Bruisers, 10-9. Algeo told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Victoria manager told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
John Algeo singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
This season, Algeo has hit at a .368 clip with 12 RBIs, 2 home runs and 16 runs scored. He has played in 27 games.
