The 15-1 Las Vegas win over Tucson was due largely to Sardis Abrego. The Aces left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The third-place Aces hiked their record to 16-20.

The Aces got a big hit from center fielder Kadri Dhamo. Facing Tucson pitcher Simone Banatoni in the top of the sixth, Dhamo pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 9th double of the season put the Aces ahead, 12-1.

Tucson manager Rick Barnes said: "We got ambushed. We just sashayed into the canyon and they were firing from both sides."
