Matt Arias made an impact in the 14-6 Alaska win over Boston. Arias, who is tied for 8th in the WC in home runs with 7, was 2-3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 4 and driving in 2. Alex Mayorga, the winner, is now 4-3. He struck out 6 and walked 1 over 6 innings, while allowing 6 runs on 10 hits. Alaska's winning streak has reached 4 games.
Boyd Heath had a big bases-clearing double for the Kodiaks in the top of the fourth inning. With Alaska leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Williams Martinez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2076 draft, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kodiaks ahead, 6-2.
"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Arias told the Alaska Herald.
