It was a magical day at the plate for East Lansing Mighty Gulls right fielder Jin-soo Shinn. The 22-year-old Shinn helped lift East Lansing to a win, 10-3, over the Salt Lake Stingers at Salt Lake City Field. Shinn smacked 5 hits in 8 at-bats to spark his club.

Jin-soo Shinn singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 10th, struck out in the 13th and hit a two-run home run off Bill Guerette in the 14th.

So far this season, Shinn has hit .583 with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 10 times.
