The Boston Greens got a stellar performance from pitcher Steve McFarlen, who handcuffed the Kansas City offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Arrington Park. The winner was McFarlen. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Fujio Yamashita. Picking up the save was Ricardo Alas, his 3rd.

The Greens got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tae-shik Lee. For the game, Lee went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Boston a 3-2 lead.

"I'm happy we won," said McFarlen. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

The victory puts Boston at 13-20.
