Elmo Fasanaro, who is tied for 6th in the WC in wins with 4, never let the Browns get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Destroyers to a win, 5-1. The win elevated the Destroyers to 20-15.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Cho-rin Khang? The San Diego third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Destroyers on top, 2-1. For the game, Khang had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Destroyers manager Steve Alstadt, "I like our chances."
