Denver pitcher James L'Hommedieu had a large part in his team subduing the Boston Greens, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. In 7 innings, L'Hommedieu surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Jeremy Lanham earned the save for Denver, his 4th.

Ko Kuroda had a big solo home run for the Glaciers in the top of the sixth inning. With Denver leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from 32-year old right-handed pitcher Cookie Klinker and swatted a home run to right. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Glaciers ahead, 2-0.

"James made some big pitches when he needed to," said Glaciers manager Todd Bleess.

With the win, Denver raised its record to 20-14.
