Hurler Steve McFarlen gave the Washington Senators a solid start. The native of Toronto, Ontario helped his team defeat the Cincinnati Twins, 3-2, at The ESPN Zone. Reliever Kelly Lazell picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Zach Bishop took the loss. Washington has a record of 3-1.

Washington took a 3-2 lead on Alex Tejeda's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Tejeda hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cincinnati pitcher Zach Bishop visibly frustrated.

"Steve was pounding the zone," said Washington manager Josh Cooan.
