Minneapolis Dealt 6-3 Defeat
|
The San Francisco Friars defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 6-3, in Western Conference action at Minneapolis Grounds. San Francisco pitcher Jon Dehmer had a standout performance. Hector Jimenez recorded his 1st save for San Francisco. The Friars have now won 4 straight.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Antonio Fiss to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Friars on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Dehmer.
