Late Offense Lifts Tucson to 6-4 Victory
|
Miami third baseman Henry McAfee had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cyclones dropped a 6-4 decision to Tucson at Kroger Stadium. McAfee was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Adam Mimnaugh, his 8th. The win has Tucson at 13-21.
Tucson used a timely hit from Robby Martinez to get the win. The first baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Toros ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Martinez.
