The Minneapolis Vikings spoiled a good performance by San Antonio third baseman Vinzenz Lohmann, bumping off San Antonio, 7-6, at Minneapolis Grounds. Lohmann was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Victor Garza in relief, making him now 2-0. Antonio Raygoza took the loss for San Antonio. The Angels, at 10-23, have stumbled out of the gate.

The decisive blow was delivered by Gerardo Freire in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Antonio Raygoza to win the game for Minneapolis. The home crowd went nuts.

"The crowd was raucous," said Freire.
