The Portland Dragons besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Santiago right fielder Nick Arciniega by beating the Avispas, 10-6, at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. Arciniega was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win gives Portland a season record of 18-15.

Portland used a clutch at-bat from Alex Milicia to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dragons ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Winning is always a team effort," Milicia said after the game.
