With right fielder Alex Jaurequi leading the charge, the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 9-4, at Legednary Park. Jaurequi, who is a two-time All-Star, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Las Vegas has a mark of 16-16 after the win.

Las Vegas used a clutch at-bat from Brian Zeeff to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

In postgame comments, Zeeff told the Las Vegas Citizen: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
