A 4-RBI performance from the former first round draft pick Luis Basurto helped the Brooklyn Browns beat the Seattle Arrows, 11-7. Brooklyn reliever Derek Bath picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ricky Zika absorbed the loss. Brooklyn, now 11-18, is off to a slow start.

Had Raymilson Bayam not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Bayam hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Browns.

"Luis gave us a heck of an effort," said Brooklyn manager Jason Cormier.
