Rangers third baseman Shunmyo Yamashita put his stamp on his team's 10-2 win over the Baltimore Kings. Yamashita went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Buffalo in the contest. Mike Trice, who finished 5th in the EC in innings pitched with 209.2 last year, was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was Adrian Portuondo. The loss drops Baltimore to 12-19.

With Buffalo leading 6-1 in the bottom of the third, Yamashita came up to bat against Baltimore pitcher Buck South. Yamashita hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rangers on top, 9-1.

Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter called the blowout loss "nothing to write home about."
