Markosiants Deals Portland 6-1 Setback
The San Francisco Friars bested the Portland Dragons, 6-1, at Staples Field. Lyalya Markosiants was one of the standouts. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The Friars raised their record to 20-10.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Markosiants, who notched 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Markosiants, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2077, goes to 3-2 on the year with 29 strikeouts.

"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
