Stanger Fires No-Hitter Against New Orleans
|
Danny Stanger was untouchable at Ballpark of Shreveport, displaying a good fastball and wicked breaking balls in his 4-0 win against the New Orleans Blues. The Shreveport hurler did not allow a single hit, fanning 10 while walking 3.
"This is great," Stanger told reporters after the game. "Every pitcher wants a no-hitter. I just wanted the win, but the no-hitter is a little extra icing on the victory cake."
