Aces Take Nail-Biter Over Phantoms
|
The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Chicago Phantoms, 6-4, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to shortstop Ian Paszek, who went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Aces. The winner was Freddie Fel in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Intriago took the loss. With the loss, Chicago drops to 15-12.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Paszek hit a fastball from John Intriago for a 2-run home run. The Aces, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We didn't let this one get away," said Paszek.
