Rigual, Vikings Too Much for Stars
The Minneapolis Vikings beat the Los Angeles Stars by a score of 9-2. Minneapolis first baseman Alex Rigual deserved the lion's share of the credit. Rigual went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Vikings. With the win, Minneapolis goes to 16-12.

With Minneapolis leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Rigual hit a fastball from Corey LaCognata for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 5-0.

"Alex was ready to go. Big day for him," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.
