Juggernauts Suffer 5-2 Home Defeat
|
Buffalo and Toronto duked it out and the Rangers came out victorious.
Buffalo Rangers starter Jose Nereida was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Toronto Juggernauts, 5-2. In 8 innings, Nereida surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
Buffalo used the hitting of Merlin Garbie to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-0. For the game, Garbie had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
The loss drops the Juggernauts to 12-15.
