Browns Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Toros
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Brooklyn Browns and Tucson Toros.

Brooklyn pitcher Luis Basurto had a large part in his team subduing the Tucson Toros, 5-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The win takes Brooklyn to 13-13.

Had Tommy Bomba not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bomba hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Browns.

"The team always comes first," Bomba told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
