Senators Do In Kings, 4-0
|
Julio Mendoza pitched a gem to lead Washington to victory over the Baltimore Kings, 4-0. Jordan Vega picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Nestor Cantu suffered the loss. The Kings fall to 11-18 and continue their lackluster start to the 2080 season.
Washington took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, Alex Tejeda hit a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Senators.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Tejeda.
