Glacier Pilots Wyman Fires No-Hitter
Lewis Wyman relied on excellent pitch selection and pinpoint control to hold Scottsdale hitless in a win, 1-0, at Ballpark of The Blues.

"Nobody goes out to pitch a no-hitter," he said later. "We just go out and try to get a win. A 10-9 win is better than a 1-0 loss. My pitching buddies might not be too happy giving up nine runs but a win is a win. The key to it today was I mixed my pitches well. I kept the Crawdads off balance and guessing the whole game."

The 21-year-old starter rung up 12 strikeouts and 1 walk in whipping the Crawdads.

"When a guy is throwing strikes the way he was and is locating well, it is going to be a long day for any club," Scottsdale skipper said.

So far this year, Wyman has been credited with 1 save, registered a 2.54 ERA and struck out 37 in 28.1 innings. He also has a 3-3 record.
